TF2 to CS2 Sensitivity Converter

Convert your Team Fortress 2 sensitivity to the exact Counter-Strike 2 equivalent. The tool below is pre-set to this pair and verifies every result with a matching cm/360.

This direction is for long-time TF2 players moving to CS2 — the most common veteran migration in the Source family. Your aim ports across untouched; what changes is the economy, the rounds, and opponents who also learned on this exact sensitivity.

Converted sensitivity
0.4

Physical aim match: 129.9 cm/360 in the from-game = 129.9 cm/360 in the to-game, at 800 DPI. If the two numbers differ, the conversion is wrong — ours always match.

The conversion

Team Fortress 2 and CS2 share the same 0.022 Source-engine yaw — your sensitivity transfers 1:1 at the same DPI, inherited from the engine both games run on.

Worked example: 1.5 TF2 = 1.5 CS2 at 800 DPI — both are a 34.6 cm/360.

Common values (800 DPI)

TF2 sensCS2 senscm/360
0.380.38136.7 cm
0.60.686.6 cm
0.750.7569.3 cm
1.21.243.3 cm

Before you switch: CS2 specifics

Coming from TF2, the first thing to internalise: TF2 uses the original Source yaw (0.022) — identical to CS2 and Apex hipfire.

CS2 keeps the classic Source yaw (0.022) — a CS2 sens converts to Valorant by dividing by 3.18182 (Valorant numbers are smaller).

Typical CS2 sensitivity runs 1–2, and professionals play in the 600–1200 eDPI band. If your converted value lands far outside that band, double-check your DPI — the math is only as good as the number your mouse actually reports.

FAQ

Is TF2 sensitivity the same as CS2?

Yes — both run on Source with a 0.022 degree-per-count yaw, so the same number at the same DPI is the same aim. 1.5 TF2 = 1.5 CS2 at 800 DPI.

Should I enable raw input in TF2?

Yes — set m_rawinput 1 (or enable Raw Input in options) so TF2 reads the mouse directly without OS acceleration. With raw input on, the 1:1 transfer is exact.

Does TF2's zoom sensitivity behave like CS2's?

Both games use a zoom ratio for scoped weapons; the defaults differ slightly, so match hipfire with this conversion and set zoom to taste.
